The Special Weapons Dalek made a brief appearence in Remembrance of the Daleks to help defeat the renegade Daleks. It is one of the few Daleks to feature a complete redesign in the TV series.
It recently appeared in Asylum of the Daleks, although it wasn’t seen moving and only used in a couple of scenes as a background Dalek. A newer design of the special weapons Dalek is used on the Engines of War book cover featuring the War Doctor.
This Dalek appeared in the 1988 TV story Remembrance of the Daleks, 2012 story Asylum of the Daleks and 2015 story The Magician’s Apprentice.
